PROJECT 2: Data Collection
Our group initially wanted to do an written interview of Japanese locals but instead we have only gotten 1 response.
Then we have decided to keep a back up of a normal online survey form. Before we started our data analysis o the research, we have gotten 30 responses in total. The survey has qualitative questions and multiple choice questions.

REFLECTION
Experience:
The experience of working with a group researching on the Geisha Glam cosmetic box project was both enlightening and rewarding. Collaborating with group members and approaching people from diverse cultural backgrounds provided valuable insights into various perspectives, allowing us to create a product that resonates functional and cultural product.
Observation:
During the project, I observed the understanding of cultural nuances when designing a product for an international product. Our discussions and interactions highlighted the importance of respecting and incorporating elements of Japanese culture authentically and respectfully. Additionally, the trip to Osaka and Kyoto provided firsthand exposure to Japanese aesthetics, traditions, and lifestyle, enriching our understanding of the context in which our product would be experienced.
Findings:
My group and i have discovered the intricate beauty rituals associated with Geisha culture and their influence on modern cosmetics. We found that elements such as minimalist design, natural ingredients, and attention to detail were a huge thing to Japanese beauty standards. Our prototype design incorporated these findings, featuring minimalist and sleek packaging inspired by traditional Geisha accessories, such as ornate hairpins and delicate fabrics. The use of muted colours and elegant motifs further captured the essence of Geisha glamor while maintaining a contemporary appeal.
