Reflection
Experience:
Through out this whole semester, my journey with this module was a positive and interesting learning experience. There were a few set backs especially at the beginning of the semester but gladly I managed to go though it with some help from friends and some feedbacks from Mr. Vinod. However, I am happy to have the chance to learn typography. All of the tasks and assignments have led me to learn a lot more about art in terms of typography and the importance of it in the design industry in the future.
Observation:
Based on my observations, I have explored different typefaces and their characteristics, learning how to choose appropriate fonts for different design contexts. The module emphasized the importance of legibility and readability in typography, ensuring that the chosen typefaces enhance the overall communication of a design. We were introduced to the anatomy of type and learned to analyze and critique different typographic compositions. Through hands-on exercises and projects, I have gained practical experience in applying typographic principles to create visually appealing and effective designs. This involved experimenting with different font combinations, sizes, and styles to achieve the desired aesthetic and message.
Findings:
Through out the module, I find that typography is the art and technique of arranging type to make written language legible, readable, and visually appealing. In a Typography module, students usually learn about the principles and practices of typography, both in print and digital media.
